First, I painted the backgrounds by putting small amounts of titanium, burnt sienna, raw sienna, burnt umber, cobalt, and Prussian blue acrylic over the surface. Then I blended the colors using a brush and water. I turned the canvases 90 degrees when dry and repeated the process.
